June 22, 2011 - Igor Gutman from STRI is appointed to the Honorary Professor degree in St. Petersburg, Russia
On the 14th of June 2011 Dr. Igor Gutman was appointed to the degree of the Honorary Professor at Petersburg Power Engineering Institute of Professional Development (PEIPK), "for an important contribution to power engineering specialists training". The ceremony was performed during plenary session of the International Seminar "Innovative proposals to obtain safe, reliable and effective operation in power sector" with participation of researchers from different countries.
The ceremony was held in a beautiful building of the Russian National Library in St. Petersburg. The history of this Library combines more than 200 years and its documents represent all historical collisions of Russia since Ekaterina The Great time and up to modern time. Igor Gutman was being collaborating with Petersburg Power Engineering Institute of Professional Development since 90ies and in 1992-1993 was employed there as Lecturer and Docent. After his start at STRI Igor Gutman participated in a number of seminars organized by the Engineering Institute and as the latest was one of the CIGRE experts at CIGRE tutorial organized by PEIPK in November 2010.
Professor Igor Gutman is Technology Manager and Senior specialist in Insulation at STRI.
