High-Voltage Testing

STRI is in general accredited for performing tests in accordance with IEC 60060-1, edition 1989-11 for product standards according to the table below and for the following voltage types and levels:

  • DC 10 kV up to 1200 kV
  • AC 2 kV up to 1050 kV
  • LI 50 kV up to 2600 kV
  • SI 100 kV up to 1750 kV
  • PD 1 pC up to 2 nC
  • Cap 20 pF up to 1 ΅F
  • Tan d 5x10-5 up to1 rad (0,005 up to 1%)
  • RIV ~0 up to 5000 ΅V
  • AC current 800 up to 6000A
  • Resistance 10 up to 500 ΅ohm
  • Temperature -40°C up to +125°C

1This standard is replaced by IEC 62271-1, 2007-10.

2All IEEE-standards is based on IEEE std. 4, 1995 and Amd. 4a, 2001. This standard can be equally compared with the versions of IEC 60060 earlier than 2010. This means that impulse voltage tests cannot be performed according to any IEEE-standard.
